About SudokuGridBase
Last updated July 26, 2026
SudokuGridBase is free browser sudoku you open and fill immediately. The home 9×9 is already live — no “Play” gate, no account wall, no app-store interstitial. Pick a cell, type or tap a digit, keep pencil notes when you need them, and ask for a Hint that names the technique with a short English reason.
The thing we care about most is the next honest fill. Difficulty bands change clue count and technique depth — not six skins of one puzzle. Killer pages show real cages and sums. Daily uses a local calendar seed. Check flags conflicts without dumping the full solution. Progress stays in this browser’s local storage.
Who this is for
People who open a grid for five minutes between meetings. Someone learning placements for the first time and tired of guides that never show a live board. Solvers who already know naked singles but stall on harder bands and want a named nudge, not a magic “AI” badge. Phone users who tap cells; desktop users who prefer keys 1–9 and arrows. Anyone who does not want a multi-game portal or a download package just to place digits.
If you need 2048, Tic Tac Toe, Snake, chess, or a wall of thumbnails, that is a different product family on different domains. This site is one puzzle shape: sudoku and its close variants.
What you can open today
- Home grid — classic 9×9 (medium band), timer, Hint, Pencil, Check, Daily, New puzzle
- How to play — rules and first fills, still with a live board
- Killer sudoku — cages and corner sums on the same shell
- Hard — tougher classic band, fewer easy singles
- Evil — sparse givens, classic rules only
- Strategy — habits and named techniques next to a board
Hint, Check, and puzzle generation run in a Web Worker on your device. We do not sync your grid to a cloud account because there is no account.
What we do not do
- No multi-game portal, APK mirror, or “more games” thumbnail farm
- No full-grid “reveal solution” product dressed as the main CTA
- No printable PDF bookstore or worksheet wholesale
- No school-filter bypass guides or “unblocked games” directories (one landing at most, never a portal)
- No NYT / branded daily clone claiming to be their product
- No real-time multiplayer rooms, chat, or spectator mode
- No paid “AI solver” API that uploads your board
Classic rules stay classic: digits 1–9 once per row, column, and 3×3 box. Killer adds cage sums with unique digits inside each cage. Harder labels are not different alphabets — they are harder search. That is a puzzle outcome, not a financial, medical, or academic credential.
How we talk about the product
Controls keep fixed names so the UI and the guides match: New puzzle, Hint, Pencil, Check, Daily, Erase. Internal links prefer useful names — how-to, killer, hard, evil, strategy — instead of stuffing the same search phrase into every sentence.
